Personal use only. The applications described here ("Channel Stats" and a self-hosted publishing tool) are private tools used exclusively by their operator, the owner of the YouTube channels ReturnByChris and CreatorCee, to manage these channels and the operator's own social media accounts. They are not offered to the public, there is no sign-up, and nobody else uses them or will ever be able to use them.

Who is responsible

The owner of the YouTube channels ReturnByChris and CreatorCee, who is also the only user of the applications.

What the applications do

Channel Stats reads statistics of the operator's own YouTube channels through the YouTube Data API and the YouTube Analytics API (read-only permissions). It shows views, watch time, audience retention and traffic sources so the operator can improve future videos. With a separate sign-in it also uploads the operator's own videos to the operator's own channels as private with a scheduled publish time, and adds their custom thumbnail and English caption file. Every upload is started by the operator.

The publishing tool (a self-hosted instance of Postiz) uploads and schedules videos and posts to the operator's own accounts, only when the operator explicitly asks for it.

What data is accessed

Statistics and metadata of the operator's own channels and videos (titles, view counts, watch time, retention).
OAuth access tokens that Google issues for these accounts.
The operator's own video files, thumbnails and caption files, sent to YouTube only when the operator uploads them.
No data of other people, viewers or commenters is collected, stored or analysed beyond the aggregated numbers YouTube Analytics provides to every channel owner.

Where the data is stored

All data and tokens stay on devices the operator owns: a personal computer and a home server. Apart from the operator's own uploads to YouTube, nothing is sent to third-party services, sold, shared or used for advertising. Reports are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Google API Services

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. These applications use YouTube API Services; the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply.

Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time in the Google account settings under Third-party apps with account access. Stored tokens are then useless and are deleted.

Since the operator is the only user, there is nobody else whose data could be affected. Questions can be sent to the YouTube channel ReturnByChris.
